New Account Leads to New Career

What started as a trip to the closest bank to open an account in her new town turned into a rewarding career for Tenaya Moulton.

“The tellers were all smiling and laughing and were very nice. I thought, how wonderful it would be to work in an environment where everyone enjoyed what they did.”

Thanks to her previous cash handling experience and sales acumen, she was able to land a job and open a bank account. She started as a part time teller and worked her way up to banker, assistant manager, and eventually branch manager. 20 years later, Tenaya is still excited about her career in banking.

Tenaya joined Marine Bank in January of 2024 as Bank Manager of the Fort Pierce banking center.  “I love that my role enables me to follow my passion to help people. I meet so many business owners and am fascinated by how they got into business, what challenges they face, and what their goals are.  Almost always, I know someone who might be a great resource for them, and I make that connection.”

A 30-year St. Lucie County resident, Tenaya is very well connected. Through decades of professional networking and non-profit work, she has honed her ability to connect with people. As a result, she has cultivated a network of referral sources and long-lasting friendships.

Tenaya is the 2nd Vice President of the Fort Pierce Woman’s Club - the oldest civic organization in Fort Pierce. In 2024, Tenaya became a Rotarian which provides her with many opportunities to increase her commitment to her hometown.

Tenaya was born in Melbourne, grew up in Miami and West Palm Beach, and attended Palm Beach Atlantic College. Her volunteer spirit rubbed off on her daughter who works for the Humane Society of St. Lucie County. When she’s not working or volunteering, Tenya enjoys watching anything sci-fi with her husband of 12 years and their 7-year-old German shepherd.
